The “adulting” process can be such a fun and exciting time! No more late night cram sessions or waking up early for morning classes, what could be better than that? Your twenties are a time for becoming more independent, trying new things, and getting to know yourself. From starting a new job to moving into your very first apartment, it can be easy to overlook the important purchases and decisions you should make. But have no fear; today I will be sharing with you five purchases/decisions you should make in your twenties that will help set you up for success!
- Good Coffee Maker
Coffee is a must when it comes to starting your day off on the right foot. If you’re anything like me, then your day doesn’t begin until you’ve had your first cup of coffee. Do your co-workers a favor and invest in a good coffee maker. You’ll thank me later!
- High-Quality Pillows
A good night’s sleep is extremely important for a productive and successful day. While a mattress can be expensive and not everyone may be able to afford one right away, high-quality pillows can be a less expensive alternative while you’re saving up for a good mattress. Trust me, they make a difference!
This might sound silly to some, but luggage is a must! Whether you’re going on vacation or a business trip, you’ll need good luggage. Preparing for a trip and packing is already stressful enough. Nobody wants to worry about what they’re going to put their stuff in the night before a big trip. Make preparing for your trip a little easier by investing in good luggage.
- Pots and Pans
Let’s face it, eating out may be quick and easy, but it adds up. Save yourself some money and start cooking meals at home. If you’re busy during the week, you can plan and cook your meals at the beginning of each week to save time. Make sure that you have the basic cooking supplies at the very least, like pots and pans, to prepare your meals in.
- Savings Account
There are a lot of things we don’t realize we need to save up for until the time comes. You never know when you’ll end up in an emergency situation and it’s important to make sure you have the necessary funds to cover the cost. It’s always good to have a backup plan, so start saving now and try not to touch your savings account unless it’s absolutely necessary!
