Tips on How to Beautify Your Blog to Grow Your Audience & Keep Them On Your Blog

You might think that it’s the content of your blog that matters the most – a lot of other bloggers also think so – but this is not true. Internet users are a shallow bunch, and if they don’t like what they see, then they’re not going to stick around to see what you have to say in your text. As such, you need to be picking a firm eye on the look of your site. If it’s not yet sparkling, then take our tips below and see your number of return visitors go through the roof.

Play Around With Your Design

When bloggers first start out, they’re so excited to get their new site up online that they tend to ignore its design. If you’ve gone for one of the many free templates available and haven’t made any alterations yourself, then your site is going to look like thousands of others. Play around with the design of your site, and make sure it stands out from the crowd. You have a personality, and so does your site, so be bold and make people say ‘wow’ when they hit your landing page.

Top Quality Photographs

You’ll already know that you need to have images dotted around your site. They’re good for SEO, help to break up the text, and can help reinforce what you’re trying to say in your text. However, your photographs will only do all of these things if they’re of a high quality. If you’re currently using images taken with an old camera that’s been lying around in your cupboard, it’s time to invest in a new model and ensure that all photographs on your site don’t drag your standards down.

Mix up the Media

Take a look at the best websites out there. What do they all have? Awesome design, and a range of media. There’s no limit to what you can have on your site. You can use gifs, videos, vector drawings, animations, and anything and everything else. If you don’t know how to create this type of media, take a course with Training Connection. You’ll learn everything you need to know to make your site more visually interesting.

Get a Fresh Perspective

Do you know what the experts say about hanging art in your home? They advise that you should move it every few weeks. If you don’t, you’ll get to used to it hanging there that you won’t even “see” it. A similar thing happens with your website. You’ve spent so much time on the site that you no longer pay attention to what’s there. To improve the look, you need to look at it from a fresh perspective. Even seeing your site on a different laptop can do the trick, so ask your friend if you can borrow theirs.

Mind on Design

Ultimately, to make your blog beautiful, you need to always have an eye on design. Don’t let your text do all the work: it isn’t able that job. Add color, add images, add that sparkle, and readers will follow.

What is one thing that you will be trying in your next blog post?
